FOLLOWING a story in the Wiltshire Times last week reporting the death of Leo Kovacs, 22, from Westbury, in which his family claimed he had been bullied as a teenager, we have been asked by Wiltshire College to point out that they never received any report, either from Mr Kovacs or his family, about allegations of bullying while he was a student on one of their courses, which he left in 2013.
The College has strict anti-bullying policies, takes all reports of bullying seriously and would like to extend its sympathy to Mr Kovacs’ family.
Principal Amanda Burnside said: “Wiltshire College was saddened to learn of the recent, tragic death of one of its former students, Leo Kovaks in the Wiltshire Times on May 20.
"Leo left the College three years ago in 2013 having attended the College since 2010 and successfully completing two courses during that period. The College’s thoughts are with Leo’s grandmother and family at this very sad time.”
