POLICE are clamping down on graffiti in Warminster following a spate of incidents in the town.

Between 6pm and 10pm on November 2, the skateboard park in Weymouth Street was targeted by vandals.

Graffiti was sprayed on to the ramp, which included a tag and a drawing of an angel.

Community coordinator PC Charly Chilton said: “We will simply not tolerate graffiti in our county, and this type of behaviour shows a complete lack of respect for your surroundings and facilities which are enjoyed by people of all ages.

“Graffiti is classed as criminal damage and is therefore an offence – it can increase the fear of crime in some areas and can also have a negative impact on the amount of pride residents feel within their community.

“I would like to appeal to anyone with information on this incident, or any other incidents in the area, to please get in touch.

“We have increased patrols in the area and would encourage anyone with information to contact police on 101.”
