“HE IS risen; he is not here; behold the place where they laid him.” These wonderful words spoken by the angel in an empty tomb so many years ago heralded the dawn of that first Easter Sunday – words still precious to so many.
It is not so many weeks ago that we were celebrating the birth of Jesus at Bethlehem. The dark days of winter have passed, and now we remember the death of Jesus at Calvary and the living truths of the resurrection. Many of us will celebrate this time of holiday in so many ways, but how good to read again the lovely accounts of that first Easter.
I serve a risen Saviour, He’s in the world today. I know that He is living, whatever men may say. I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer, and just the time I need Him He’s always near.
Every blessing for Easter.
