AFTER reading about the lady who was shocked by the Wingfield Care Home’s treatment of her mother, I felt I had to write.
My brother-in-law had a form of dementia when only in his early fifties and was in the Wingfield, deteriorating for three years before sadly passing away.
The care he received was excellent and the cleanliness and upkeep of the whole place was first class; this was only a couple of years ago.
Barchester must now have put incompetent management in charge and the Care Quality Commission really need to look closely into how the place is run.
It costs a lot of money to have loved ones in these homes and they don’t deserve second rate care and conditions.
