The Mead Nursery in Brokerswood has raised more than £1000 from a charity day.Staff at the nursery put on the fundraiser to raise money for the upkeep of Brokerswood Tin Church, which is still standing after 113 years.
A total of £,1376 was raised, and a cheque was presented.
Marion Masters, treasurer of Brokerswood Tin Church said: “This was a wonderful sum raised by Steve and Emma’s customers and will be a great help as there are always repairs that need doing to the church.
“Over the last 18 months the interior has been decorated and we have had some new windows made to replace the ones that had rotted.”
