REINDEER and Peppa Pig drew in hundreds of people to Larkrise School’s Christmas fair on Friday.
During the after-school event the Trowbridge school was lit up like a Christmas tree, as guests were treated to Santa’s grotto, a tombola, a raffle and stalls, which were manned by the students.
Friends of Larkrise School chairman, Emily Wadds, said they wanted to get more closely involved with the community, and that this proved to be a great way of doing that.
“There was a great atmosphere, lots of fun things to do and it had a great community feel too,” she said.
“The students were delighted to get involved and sell goods on the stalls, competing with each other to see who could raise the most money for the school.
“We have managed to get more than £1,500 which is a fantastic achievement, although Peppa Pig and the reindeer probably played a big part in reaching that total.
“Usually we have it on a Saturday but having it after school meant that our neighbours, Paxcroft Primary, could come along too, which was lovely.”
