A SERIES of burglaries in the west Wiltshire area led to three teenage boys, aged 17, 18 and 19, being arrested on suspicion of burglary following police enquiries.

The trio were arrested following an attempted house break-in in Bell Heather Close, Staverton, on August 22.

The same night, a house in Bulrush Place, Staverton, was broken into and a silver Mercedes E250 convertible was stolen. The car was later recovered.

The 17-year-old has since been released with no further action taken while the 18-year-old and 19-year-old, who was arrested in connection with both of these incidents, have been released under investigation.

In a separate incident a 34-year-old Monkton Farleigh man was arrested on suspicion of burglary after £400 was stolen from a till at the Cross Guns pub in Avoncliff on August 23.

He has since been released with no further action.
