A TROWBRIDGE Chamber executive is urging residents to nominate civic dignitaries and public representatives they would like to see put in the stocks.
The call comes from Edward Kirk, a Wiltshire and Trowbridge town councillor and a member of the Trowbridge Chamber executive committee.
Cllr Kirk said: “Trowbridge town and Wiltshire councillors have already put themselves forward to take part.
“We’re now inviting people to nominate our public representatives and dignitaries to put in the firing line of wet sponges.
“The event is designed to be fun and any proceeds will go to charity.
“Now’s your chance to engage with your elected representatives.”
The stocks will be set up on Saturday, November 24 at the Trowbridge Christmas lights switch-on in Fore Street from 11am to 3pm.
Send your nominations to: trowbridgechamber@gmail.com.
