TWO people were arrested following a collision in Trowbridge last night.
At 11.20pm on Sunday, a blue BMW was reported to be driven at excess speed along Broadcloth Lane in the direction of Sparrow Street.
The vehicle then collided with a parked vehicle on the opposite side of the road.
The driver of the BMW was seen by witnesses fleeing the scene of the collision in the direction of Millhand Villas.
Descriptions of the driver were given to officers and searches and further enquiries were carried out.
A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. He remains in Melksham custody for questioning.
A 48-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of two counts of assaulting a police officer. She has since been released under investigation.
