POLICE have released CCTV footage and images of a man they would like to speak to after a number of vehicles in Trowbridge had their tyres slashed.

They said eight vehicles were damaged overnight between Monday, December 3 and Tuesday, December 4 in the Rodwell Park area of the town.

Community Co-ordinator PC Charly Chilton, from the Wiltshire West Community Policing Team, said: “We have received a number of reports about criminal damage overnight and we had a similar wave of incidents about a month ago in the same area, so we are keen to trace the man in the video footage.

“This type of vandalism causes a great deal of disruption and inconvenience for the vehicle owners - not to mention the financial implications - and we have had officers out throughout the day conducting house-to-house enquiries and looking for CCTV footage.

“We will also be carrying out increased patrols in the area this evening and overnight.

“I would like to urge anyone who recognises the man in the footage, or the man himself, to contact police.”

Anyone with information should contact the Wiltshire West Community Policing Team on 101, quoting log 48 of 4/12/18. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
