A motorcyclist is understood to have suffered serious leg injuries in a crash at Staverton this evening.
The accident happened outside The Old Bear public house at 4.40pm and closed the B3105 road in both directions.
The motorcyclist is believed to have been on a Lexmoto and was in collision with a blue Vauxhall Corsa.
He was rushed by land ambulance to the Royal United Hospital in Bath.
Police have advised motorists to seek alternative routes while they investigate the accident scene and wait for the two vehicles to be removed.
A member of staff at the Old Bear said the accident had happened before the pub opened for business this evening.
Police are still on the scene directing traffic; it is understood that motorists are being allowed through on one lane only.
