THE family of a young motocross racer in Melksham are appealing for help to trace his stolen motorcycle.
Vincent Matthews’ Kawasaki KX85 was left devastated after his bike was stolen from a locked garage near the West End public house in early January.
The 11-year-old youngster has been racing in motocross trials since he was nine and is heartbroken about the theft of his bike.
His mother, Mrs Christina Matthews, said: “There is still no news. We believe it was a targeted theft.”
She said the thief had broken into a locked garage and cut the chain off the 2017 bike before stealing it.
Her daughter Lucy Matthews said: “This is the second time in five years. It’s my little brother’s bike. He is only 11.”
The KX85’s chassis number is JKBKX085CCA009887. Anyone with information, call Wiltshire Police 101 hotline or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
