ELDERLY residents of Bradford on Avon have voiced concerns about a mound of rubbish left outside a listed property.
The house at 5 St Margaret’s Street has been gutted to be be turned into a surgery for a local dental practice.
Rubbish from the renovations has been piled up high outside the front doors of the property near the Town Bridge for several months.
Now residents have complained to Bradford on Avon Town Council about the mess and say they want it removed.
One resident said: “It is in a disgusting state. It is an eyesore for tourists and can hardly help with the town’s involvement in the Great West Way.”
Cllr David Garwood said there was a dispute between the owner and a contractor on who should pay for its removal.
The town council’s operations manager Ian Brown will contact Wiltshire Council to see if they can get the rubbish cleared.
