A DARTS tournament in Bicester helped raise hundreds of pounds to go towards a new eye scanner for Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
The competition was held by Bicester and District Darts Association, after being asked by Trevor Cox of car hire firm Trusted Cars.
Mr Cox had been treated at the hospital and says the team there ‘saved his sight’, so wanted to give something back.
The event raised £500 and Mr Cox raised a further £161 in his village of Preston Bissett.
Competition winners were Mark Harding and Jason Cattermole.
