RESCUERS were dispatched to Rhyl following a report of a person being in the water.
An alert was issued shortly after 8pm on Saturday that a person may have been spotted in the water on the A548 near Foryd Bridge.
Rhyl Coastguard Rescue Team, were joined by Llandudno and Flint Coastguard Rescue Teams, Rhyl Lifeboat, North Wales Police.
Rescue 936, HM Coastguard helicopter was also launched.
A search plan was formulated and the area searched from the air, land and sea.
After a thorough search of both the shoreline and water by all agencies including the helicopter using thermal imaging equipment, nothing was found.
Rescue crews were stood down and returned to their stations.
