THE Bradford on Avon Cycling Festival is to be held on Sunday, July 14 this year, with more than £1,455 of support from the town council.

It will again feature the famous hill climb for adults from The Swan Hotel to the Castle Inn. There will be a mini hill climb for children.

Joint organiser, Charlotte Forrester, said: “Last year we had a bumper event and we were thrilled with the response from everyone who took part and supported the event.

“For 2019 our aim is to grow the event yet again and for it to remain as a ‘must attend’ event for miles around.”

Last year, Andrew Feather set a new hill climb record of 53.44 seconds. He went on to become the National Hill Climb Champion.

Miss Forrester added: “This year we hope to see more people take part. So why not encourage your friends and family to take part or come and cheer you on?”
