A MAN has been arrested following an assault in Trowbridge town centre which left another man injured.
Officers were called around 3.30pm today (12/05) following reports that a local man in his 20s had been assaulted in Trowbridge town centre.
A Police spokesman said: "A local man in his 20s was treated by paramedics at the scene for slash wounds to his face; he was then taken by ambulance to hospital where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
"Soon afterwards a 38-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of GBH and is currently in custody. Our enquiries are continuing."
Cordons remain in place in Market Street.
