AS evenings get longer and temperatures get warmer, people are being encouraged to get involved with the Big Pledge Challenge, this year themed "It's not just cricket".
Wiltshire council's annual fitness event is underway from June 3 to July 14 and last year saw 10,000 people take part in logging their exercise online, which this year are timed.
The cricket theme is to celebrate this year’s ICC Cricket World Cup coming to the UK this summer, but people can undertake any sport or activity to complete their challenge and get more active.
Chris Williams, portfolio holder for communities said: “Every year Big Pledge helps people to get out and about and more active in their communities.
“For people who just want to have fun and get a little healthier it’s the perfect challenge. Equally, for those who are a bit more competitively minded this is a good opportunity to challenge friends and family to see who can come out on top.
“There are plenty of physical and mental health benefits to getting more active."
