PEOPLE in Bradford on Avon are being encouraged to walk as the town celebrates Clean Air Day.
Organised by Cllr Sarah Gibson, signs have been put up in different places around the town showing how long it would take to walk to popular locations in the hope of reducing pollution from cars.
In some cases it is even quicker to walk than it is to drive in rush hour.
This comes after a climate emergency was declared by the town council who are now working to reduce air pollution.
Members of the town’s Clean Air campaign group include Cllr Sarah Gibson, James Sullivan-Tailyour, owner of The Swan Hotel, Trevor Bedeman from White Stripes, and Paige Balas, from Ideal Bradford on Avon.
