Old friends will bring the West Barn in Bradford on Avon to life in dynamic mix of two artists' abstract and landscape work coming together.

A collaboration showcasing new work by artist friends Sebastian Ward Turner and Louise Burdett will bring the barn to life with an exhibition of landscape and abstract artworks.

The dreamlike paintings of local artist Mr Ward Turner, a regular exhibitor at West Barn, show calming landscapes.

He last exhibited at West Barn in September last year where he had a one-man show of his landscape work.

Ms Burdett lives and works in Lawrenny, Pembrokeshire and her work is abstract expressionist in nature which echoes her previous landscape painting.

Mr Ward Turner said: "I love Louise’s abstract paintings, she uses what you might call a mindful process which allows images to develop slowly, layer after layer, reacting to the emerging forms as they reveal themselves.

"There’s tremendous energy in her work and she makes powerful connections and accents using a range of techniques.

"We’re both very painterly which means we’re not precious and love to get the paint on in swathes."

Mr Ward Turner and Ms Burdett's exhibition Dreamscapes: Visions from the Subconscious, shows their artworks mixed together and curated to create a dynamic and exciting exhibition.

The exhibition starts on Friday June 28 for three days finishing on Sunday June 30, open daily 10am-6pm at West Barn, Pound Lane, Bradford on Avon.
