Dog bites woman

A WOMAN walking her dog on the canal towpath between Staverton and Bradford on Avon near Staverton was attacked by three other dogs at 9.40am on Saturday. The dogs approached the victim and then pounced on her dog. They then jumped up at the woman as she tried to protect her pet, and one of them bit her on the right forearm, breaking the skin and leaving her bleeding.

Punched in face

A MAN was verbally abused and then punched in the face, knocking some of his teeth out, when he was attacked by two men outside Frankie & Benny’s restaurant in St Stephen’s Leisure Park, Trowbridge, at 10.36pm on Friday. The victim had reprimanded his assailants for being disorderly and spitting before the attack. The two men then fled from the scene.

Abuse on canal

A MAN was left feeling alarmed and distressed by another man who shouted abusive language at him while walking on the Kennet & Avon Canal towpath near the Tithe Barn in Bradford on Avon at 7.18pm on Friday.

Takeaway damage

A MAN has been released under investigation by police following the incident early last Thursday morning in which a car caused damage to the front of the Noble House Chinese takeaway in Timbrell Street, Trowbridge. The car which hit the wall was knocked onto the pavement from where it had been parked on the road, after it was hit by another vehicle.

Van stolen

A VAN was stolen from a driveway in Cherry Gardens, Trowbridge, on Saturday August 3.

Mirror smashed

A WING mirror on a vehicle parked in Clarendon Avenue, Trowbridge, was damaged on Saturday August 3.

Drunk arrested

A MAN from Hull has been bailed to appear before Salisbury Magistrates Court on August 23 for being drunk and disorderly. Christopher Dawson, 38, was arrested in Castle Street, Trowbridge, on Sunday.
