Fire fighters from across Wiltshire helped rescue a paraglider who crashed into a tree this afternoon.
Crews from Marlborough, Pewsey, Ludgershall, Trowbridge and Chippenham were called to Crofton Road, Great Bedwyn, near Marlborough at 1.42pm to help the stranded man who had a lucky escape.
A fire service spokesman said: "A call was passed to us by Thames Valley Fire Control for a paraglider that had crashed into a tree.
"The caller used what3words and our fire control operator was able to find their exact location and mobilise resources to help them.
"The paraglider was rescued from a height of approximately 40 foot using the rope rescue teams and a 12metre ladder."
