CONSERVATIVE councillor Suzanne Wickham has been voted in to take over the Wiltshire Council seat formerly held by her late husband, cabinet member Jerry Wickham.
The Ethandune unitary by-election saw Mrs Wickham get 778 votes against Liberal Democrat Alan Rankin's 587 votes. The area covers Bratton, Edington, Dilton Marsh, Heywood and Coulston.
One key issue in the area is the B3098. She said: "There are more vehicles using it than ever intended and speed is another real problem."
