TWO men were released by fire crews after being trapped in their vehicle following a crash in Trowbridge on Wednesday morning.
One crew from the Trowbridge fire station and one crew from the Bradford-on-Avon fire station were called out at 8.28am to a crash on Wyke Road in Trowbridge with reports of people trapped in the vehicles.
On arrival, the two crews found the collision involved a small blue Ford Focus car and a silver Ford Transit van.
Two causalities were trapped in the car and crews used hydraulic cutting equipment and small gear to remove the roof and release the causalities, one of whom had a back injury and was taken out on a long board.
The two people were treated at the scene by paramedics from the South Western Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital.
It is understood the two men had come to Trowbridge from Southampton to collect a vehicle.
