MORE than 50 people enjoyed Middle Eastern and Asian food prepared by people in Bradford on Avon as the town’s Friends of Palestine held a fundraising brunch.
On October 13, the group raised money to support Tubas, a town whose position in the north, near the Jordan Valley, make its residents a prime target for land confiscation by the Israeli Military.
Jalal Khudairy, a headmaster in Tubas, formed a popular Youth club in 2014 and wrote to the Friends group this summer requesting financial and practical help to develop it further.
The committee responded with a positive commitment to help in the long term by holding these brunches.
The food was prepared by people from Melsham, Trowbridge, and Devizes.
A total of £600 was raised towards the project, and the Friends group wishes to thank all those who contributed to the event.
