THE Village Pump in Trowbridge is to stage its annual Night for Dorothy to raise funds for the Winsley-based local hospice.

This year, the event on Saturday, November 16 will feature a tribute to Mike Danver Scott, a Bristolian singer, songwriter and guitarist,who lived near Bradford on Avon.

Mr Scott was a regular and much-loved visitor to The Village Pump and died earlier this year.

Performers have been invited to sing some of Mike’s humorous, heart-felt and incisive songs as well as other songs / poems.

Organiser Rosie Upton added: "It is as ever a time to remember former Village Pump festival directors Alan Briars and Dave Newman as well as all those that we have lost over the years."

The Village Pump is located at the rear of The Lamb Inn, Mortimer Street, Trowbridge. Tickets £10. Doors open at 7.30pm.
