RESIDENTS in Warminster have been invited to a special meeting to discuss plans for more housing off Folly Lane.

Redrow Homes Ltd of Bristol has submitted plans to build a further 46 new homes as part of the phase two development of the Folly Farm site.

It will include the demolition of existing structures and the building of new parking, garaging, open space and vehicle and pedestrian access as well as associated infrastructure and engineering works.

Warminster Town Council has arranged the special meeting for Monday, November 11 at 6pm at the Civic Centre.

Assistant town clerk, Tom Dommett, said: "Councillors would welcome residents’ feedback at this meeting, especially those from St Andrews, Broxburn and Thornhill.

"Town councillors have already met with Redrow’s agents to discuss the plans and have found nothing in the planning application that would prevent this extension of the existing site from going ahead.

"Access to the new housing would be from the existing Redrow development site.

"However, town councillors would like to hear views from members of the public about how they think the first Redrow site performed and whether there are any issues that should be considered for phase two."

It will be followed by a council Planning Advisory Committee meeting at 7pm.

Town councillors will then be able to pass on their comments about the application to Wiltshire Council.
