ORGANISERS of Darlington's 'fireworks spectacular' tonight say it is still going ahead as planned despite inclement weather.
But they are warning people that they won't be able to gain entry unless they have bought tickets via Eventbrite.
Darlington Fireworks, at The Northern Echo arena, opens its doors at 5.30pm. There are under cover seats, street food, fairground games and rides, and competitions, culminating in a large fireworks display.
Organisers Mowden Park said people had been calling today to check the event was still on - but they said tickets had to be bought online up to 5.30pm today.
Anyone turning up at the ground without a ticket will be turned away as they are not available to buy on the door or at the venue.
• Tickets are only available via EventBrite
• Car parking is pre-book only, with limited spaces remaining, also via EventBrite
Tickets include an allocated seat which is under the cover of the stadium roof.
For more information call the Arena on 01325-350267.
