WESTBURY-based Rygor Commercials is to raise funds for three South-West based charities throughout 2020.

Each year, the team at Rygor nominates and votes for charities local to its sites as part of its Charities for the Year initiative.

This year the team has chosen to support Dorothy House Hospice Care at Winsley, Wiltshire Air Ambulance at Semington, and Cots for Tots, run by the Wallace & Gromit Grand Appeal at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael's Hospital in Bristol.

Tim Stacey, Rygor managing director, said: “As part of Rygor’s continued commitment to supporting local causes, we are excited about our charity event plans for 2020.

"Some of the events will be open to the local community and as in previous years, the whole team will be involved in raising as much money as possible.

"Our Charities of the Year initiative is part of Rygor’s fantastic team culture, and we’re delighted to be able to give back to causes close to our hearts.”

Henrietta Beard, corporate fundraiser for DHHC, said: “Dorothy House is absolutely thrilled to be chosen as one of Rygor’s chosen charities for 2020."

"I look forward to our continued collaboration with this dynamic business where supporting their community is a key element of their Corporate Social Responsibility.”

Valerie Whistler, partnerships co-ordinator at Wiltshire Air Ambulance, said: “We are absolutely delighted at the news that Rygor Commercials has chosen us as their Charity of the Year for 2020.

"The partnership between us grows stronger every year and we are so happy to be working with Rygor for another year.

"We look forward to all the fantastic fundraising adventures we will be having in 2020, especially the wonderful White Horse Walk on September 26th, which was fantastic in its first year and I’m sure will grow into an even better event this coming year.”

Maxine Moustrides, corporate fundraiser at Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, which runs Cots for Tots, said: “Imagine seeing your baby fighting for their life and being rushed into critical care.

"Now imagine being so far from home, and not knowing when you'll be able to return. Every year, this is the reality for hundreds of families from across the South West, South Wales and even further afield, who come to St Michael's NICU for life-saving care.

"With the brilliant support of companies like Rygor, Cots for Tots can be there for these families.

"With their help, we can provide free accommodation at Cots for Tots House and specialist family support to help mums and dads through the emotional, financial and psychological complexities of having a baby in intensive care.

"We’ll also be able support their little ones too, by funding ground-breaking equipment, medical facilities and specialist support staff.”
