TWO men were arrested for suspected drug dealing in Trowbridge after police found a large amount of cash in the vehicle they were in.
Police stopped the Vauxhall Astra on Bradley Road at 5pm on Monday, where they found just under £2,500 and a mobile phone with messages indicating drug activity.
A further search was conducted at an address linked to one of the men and a further £525 cash was seized.
Both men, aged in their 20s from Warminster, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
Both have been interviewed and released under investigation.
Sgt Kevin Harmsworth said: “Even during such unprecedented times, please be reassured that our officers will continue to make the most of every opportunity to be proactive and target individuals who are suspected of committing crime.
"This is one of a number of vehicles we have stopped in the area in the past few days. We will continue to keep you updated with crime taking place in your local area.”
