THE chairman and vice-chairman of Heytesbury, Imber & Knook Parish Council will stay in office for another year.

Cllr Louise Morris and Cllr David Bond were voted in for another 12 months at the council’s annual meeting on May 26.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, the meeting was held digitally using the Zoom teleconferencing platform. Cllr Morris said: “I have always said that I would be happy to do a second term, building on the challenging experiences of my first year, which has been a steep learning curve, not without a fair few exceptional circumstances.

"I have always had an eye on making sure that we are doing the right thing, in line with our role, remit and responsibility and only doing the things that we are supposed to be doing, so that we can justify all that we do, if subject to public scrutiny.

"I am delighted that Cllr Bond is joining me for a second term and look forward to working together with all of my colleagues and doing the best we can for the whole parish.”
