Scouting has been run virtually since March 17 and many sections across the Wiltshire West District have been offering exciting activities which have included The Great Outdoors with virtual camps, camp fires, cooking, Explorer challenges, Hike to the Moon, St George’s Day, Camp at Home, Solstice Camp and many more Beaver, Cub, Scout and Explorer Scout activities to gain activity and challenge badges, keeping Scouting alive
The Scout Association are now on Amber which means that face to face Scouting can return outdoors with up to 15 people following a stringent risk assessment process.
Warminster Scouts have been quick off the mark and they did an evening hike along the Imber Range Path from the Westbury White Horse to Cradle Hill, Warminster, with COVID-19 restrictions observed. The hike included 10 Scouts, 1 Explorer Scout and 4 Leaders. District Commissioner Chris Broom said: "They all said it was great fun meeting up with fellow Scouts and well done to them."
