A FIRE in domestic workshops in Trowbridge sparked a large emergency response from fire crews at around 7pm on Saturday evening (Sept 26).
Five fire crews from Trowbridge (two), Warminster (two) and Melksham attended a blaze in the garden of a property in Trowbridge.
A Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “We were called to Sycamore Grove, Trowbridge, at 6.48pm on Saturday for a fire involving three domestic workshops and some trees.
“Five crews attended, two from Trowbridge, two from Warminster and one from Melksham. Six breathing apparatus wearers used four hose reel jets and two main jets to fight the fire, which destroyed one of the buildings and damaged the others.
“The stop came at 8.56pm. It is believed the fire started accidentally due to an electrical issue.”
Police closed the road in both directions between Wiltshire Drive and Silver Street Lane while the crews tackled the fire.
