Christmas celebrations in Devizes will be slightly different this year due to the pandemic.
Devizes Outdoor Celebratory Arts (DOCA) have had to cancel their festive markets and planned light installations.
But people have been encouraged to decorate their winters as part of 'Window Wanderland.'
Loz Samuels, artistic director of DOCA said: “We are very sad that we cannot continue with our plans to bring the markets to the Town, local traders would have really benefitted from this opportunity and local people would I know have really appreciated the boost. Window Wanderland is still happening on the November 27 to 29. We are so pleased with the response and have over 95 entries so far, it’ll be an amazing trail.”
Kelvin Nash, chairman of the Trustees at DOCA added: “We will review our plans and hope to be able to reignite them in February” DOCA are also working on a bauble installation in the Shambles Market ,with the help of Nursteed School and Haywood Care Centre.
