LIKE lots of Wilbur members, eight-year-old Morgan Blake, from Westbury, loves playing games on the PC and surfing the internet.

When his mum set up a website for Westbury, with chat forums where adults could talk, Morgan decided it was time the kids got in on the act.

So he's helped create a specific children's area of the website www.westburytownforums.com, christening it the TreeHouseGang, and getting it equipped with games, links to other child-friendly sites and a chat forum just for youngsters.

Now Morgan has invited other Wilbur members to come and join him online, for gaming fun and chat. "I wanted a site just for children, so instead of going on lots of sites you can just go on one," he explained.

"It was fun setting it all up. We've got games like CBBC and CBeebies and Disney - they're my favourites. You can talk to other children and find out what they like.

"I wanted a forum that's just for children 'cos there's lots of ones for adults so I thought why can't we have one too?"

Access to the TreeHouseGang site is restricted to eights and over, and Morgan's mum Donna explained: "Basically for security reasons the children will have to log on to www.westburytownforums.com and then specify that they would like to join the TreeHouseGang. They need to be at least eight, and we as administrators approve their account, so that we can moderate the site effectively, keep an eye on all new members and ensure that children can use the site safely. The site is exclusively for children and is only accessible to children, so is hidden from the adult members of our forum, so that their site is indeed their own."

If you would like to join the TreeHouseGang, first of all ask an adult for permission. It might be a good idea to let them help you apply for membership, so if they want they can get any questions they have answered.

Hope you all have fun online with Morgan.
