Children at Corsham Regis have not let the change in weather dampen their enthusiasm to sharpen up on their cricket skills.
Wiltshire Cricket’s Under 12s Girls coach, Vicky Hathway, was welcomed into school to deliver “Chance to Shine” cricket.
The programme was designed to aid schools in the teaching of cricket, and at Corsham Regis each class in Key Stage 2 took part and a variety of catching, bowling and batting skills were practised ahead of summer months to come.
“It was really good fun and now I can’t wait to play cricket in the summer,” commented one year 3 pupil.
Kate Bagnall, P.E. co-ordinator at Corsham Regis, said: "The children greatly benefitted from the expert coaching delivered by Wiltshire Cricket and it was lovely to see their skills developing.
"The final week, which culminating in them playing some cricket matches, was brilliant and definitely something we will be revisiting in the summer months."
