Kind-hearted children and staff at Carers Nest Pre-school, in Potterne, have brought big smiles to people across the community.

The pre-school worked hard to create an array of Christmas cards then, complete with their own high-vis jackets and Santa hats, walked through the village to hand them out to surprised residents.

With the help from Whitehall Garden Centre, who donated 100 Primrose plants, the children were also able to make batches of flowers to deliver to Dauntsey's Care Home in West Lavington.

Emma Blackmore, manager of Carers Nest Pre-school, said: "Children and staff at Carers Nest Pre-school in Potterne have been thinking of others during these difficult times.

"We hope our goodwill gesture will bring festive cheer and smiles to everyone.

"The feedback from everyone has been lovely, saying how grateful they are and how it made them smile, seeing the children really brightened their day."
