Children in Great Bedwyn had some seasonal fun - in the form of a village-wide Christmas Carol hunt.

They had to walk around the village spotting window displays.

Pupils from Class 4 of the Church of England primary school managed to maintain social distancing in their class bubble.

And they spread the cheer, waving to and speaking to many residents along the route.

To the children’s delight more than 20 villagers had decorated their windows to embrace Christmas and bring the village community together whilst isolating due to Covid.

The children had to guess the Christmas Carol in the windows.

The displays showed carols Little Donkey, Silent Night, Hark the Herald Angels sing, Ding Dong merrily on High, We Three Kings and Hark the Herald Angel Sing.

"It was a very special trail in these strange times," said school teacher Kathryn Bengtsson.
