An exciting variety of free online music lessons have been offered to young people across Wiltshire, after organisations across the UK came together to ensure music reaches children despite lockdown.

The Rock Project have been running music sessions for young people between the ages of seven and 18 year olds nationwide for the past 12 years.

In Wiltshire, events have been held since 2015.

The Rock Project has been holding online lessons since March 2020 as coronavirus hit how they usually operate.

The Rock Project nationwide team have now put their heads together on how they can help the youth of the UK and beyond during the current restrictions, and have now released details of support available.

From Monday January 18 they will be providing free bite sized lessons in guitar, bass, drums and vocals, in addition to their usual current virtual sessions.

Everyone is welcome, from complete beginners to current students.

Mike Aris, organiser of The Rock Project in Bath, Trowbridge and Chippenham said: “We are so excited to make some of our lessons available to everyone, if feels great coming together with all the other Rock Project sessions around the country, and we are sure that students are going to have a blast!”
