Beehive Southwick Cricket Club is going to mile to raise cash for a Trowbridge charity on a virtual tour of UK cricket clubs.
Members will collectively walk around 2,250 miles on a virtual tour of 22 of the UK’s most prominent cricket clubs.
The club hopes to raise at least £1,500 to be split between their find and Trowbridge-based children’s poverty charity Ruksak45218.
So far, the club has raised £215 via crowdfunding site JustGiving.

Club member,James Taylor said: “It’s basically utilising the club’s wide and friendly community and people’s existing lockdown routines; dog walking, treadmills, weekend cycles etc
“There’ll be a few fun challenges on the way, like a fancy dress weekend, so as well as raising money for a great charity and staying exercised we’re encouraging everyone to stay in touch and have some fun.”
The online event began at the club’s original grounds, Victory Fields in Bradford on Avon on Saturday, January 3 and it is expected to finish on March 13 in Southwick.
