A 12-year-old boy was thrown off his bike during a shocking attack in Trowbridge.
The boy, on his way to school, was cycling towards the wooden footbridge near Tesco Extra when he was approached by a group of three men.
One of the men pushed the boy off his bike and another tried, unsuccessfully, to steal his rucksack. Wiltshire Police are now appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
A spokesman said: "The three men were described as mixed race and all were wearing black hoodies and black snoods.
"The men ran from the scene; the victim believes they may have been worried about being spotted."
The incident took place around 8.45am on Friday. (February 12).
