The RUH in Bath has said thank you and goodbye to military personnel for their invaluable help over the past month.
Military men and women have been thanked for their assistance in the RUH’s response to the second wave of the pandemic.
Over the last month, military personnel have helped staff at the Royal United Hospital in carrying out general duties on wards and units.

Cara Charles-Barks, chief executive of the hospital who was presented with a commemorative emblem said the help of the military was invaluable and allowed staff to focus on caring for patients.
She said: “Our staff have been working so hard for many months and having you join us has been an enormous boost to morale. From all of us, we are incredibly grateful – thank you.”
Lt Harry Martin, 29 Commando Unit Royal Artillery, said: “Working here with NHS colleagues is something that we will take with us for the rest of our lives."
“It’s been such a positive and amazing experience.”
The military teams were also presented with a signed medical scrubs shirt and a thank you video and book of personal messages from staff across the hospital.
