ROAD closures in place after a two vehicle crash in Larkhill have now been lifted.

The collision involved a horsebox and Peugeot van.

Shrewton Road was closed at the junction of Ross Road and Bingham Road.

Stonehenge Roundabout was also closed to traffic while emergency services dealt with the incident.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: "We were called to a report of a collision between a horsebox and Peugeot van at 1.20pm today (April 19).

"There was a horse inside the lorry but it was uninjured.

"The driver of the horsebox received minor injuries.

"The road was cleared by 3.30pm."

A fire crew from Salisbury attended the scene along with animal rescue specialists from Winchester and Lyndhurst to help free the horse.

The horse was safely freed by 2.26pm.
