The winner in the first count of the Police & Crime Commissioner is Conservative candidate Jonathon Seed – who withdrew from the election.
The results of the first count in the Wiltshire and Swindon Police & Crime Commissioner elections are as follows:
Jonathon Seed - Conservative (84,885)
Liz Webster - Liberal Democrats (35,013)
Junab Ali - Labour (34,147)
Mike Rees - Independent (31,722)
Brig Oubridge - Green Party (16,606)
Julian Malins QC - Reform UK (4,348)

As Jonathon Seed did not gain over 50 per cent of the vote (40 per cent) in the first count there will now be another count.
This will be a battle between Liz Webster (Lib Dems) and Jonathon Seed (withdrawn).
Last night Mr Seed announced that he withdrew his candidacy following the unearthing of historic driving offences.
Candidates for the PCC role cannot run for the office if they have been previously convicted of an imprisonable offence.
