A TROWBRIDGE man appeared in court at Salisbury this morning charged with six offences of attempting to incite young children and teenagers to commit acts of a sexual nature.
Nicholas Paul Thornton, 28, of The Halve, is charged with a total of six offences in relation to youngsters aged seven to 15.
A seventh charge alleges that he breached a sexual harm prevention order imposed by a court on May 8 2015 by travelling between May 8 and May 12.
The other six charges relate to inciting youngsters to engage in sexual acts of a non-penetrative nature on May 11 and 12.
He has not yet indicated a plea and the court adjourned the case to allow him to seek legal advice.
Each of the offences carries a maximum penalty of six months in prison and/or a fine.
