A MELKSHAM road is due to close next month to relieve flooding in the area.
From Monday, November 1, Dunch Lane will be closed to all traffic for up to five days in the interest of public safety.
The closure will allow Wiltshire Council to carry out works to relieve flooding and associated works.
Dunch Lane will be closed from its junction with the A350 to where it meets Northbrook Road.
An alternative route has been proposed via the A350 - A365 - Dunch Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa.

A council spokesman said: “The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
“Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.”
