The owner of a dog from Ludgershall has been accused of not being able to properly control it and faces seeing it being destroyed.
Sharon Rogers' dog was described as being 'dangerous' by Wiltshire County Council which is applying through the courts for an order that the dog has to be kept under control or be destroyed.
The case has been adjourned to Tuesday, February 1 at South East Wiltshire Magistrates' Court.
According to the CPS, an Order under section 2 of the Dogs Act 1871 may be made whether or not the dog is shown to have injured any person; and may specify the measures to be taken for keeping the dog under proper control, whether by muzzling, keeping on a lead, excluding it from specified places or otherwise.
