A brand new ice cream shop is sweetening the streets of Devizes.
DevIces opened in the heart of the bustling town in Little Brittox where they are hoping customers will flock for a taste of their ranging flavours.
Business owner Jonathan opened the store on July 6 and is hoping his expertise will come in handy, as he has been inspired by ice creams they had tried across the world.
The shop is also offering shakes, crepes and waffles- using ice cream that is produced within 25 miles.
The business will also be offering bookable 'private mini cone tasting parties' planned for children in the future, as well as a version for adults during the early evenings too.
Jonathan said: “It’s the first time we’ve opened as a physical store, and we decided to get it set up because of our love for things like ice cream and crepes.
“I’ve had the chance to taste so many different types of ice cream so it’s something we’ve always wanted to do.
“It was a surprisingly good start when opening.
“There were queues, and people were very happy with the idea of having a dedicated ice cream place in the town."
The mayor of Devizes, Cllr. Peter Corbett officially opened the shop and cut the ribbon to mark the occasion.
It is a busy time for the town of Devizes, as the Market Lavington Vintage Family Fun Weekend is set to take place on Saturday, 16 July and Sunday, 17 July- giving the shop another chance to promote itself as people gather in the centre.
Jonathan said: “It’s been a busy start but it’s all manageable.”
One Facebook user commented on the ice cream shop’s announcement post, noting: ‘I’m so excited! Literally all of my favourite things.’
Another person agreed that the treats were worth a trip out, stating: ‘Went in on Saturday and can confirm that the ice cream was indeed deeeelicious! I'm sure that Devices will do very well.’
