A NEW pizza chain has just opened on the streets of Trowbridge.

Dough & Co is already well established in different parts of England- from the nearby towns of Swindon and Frome, to cities such as Sheffield, and the chain continues to grow. 

They have now opened a new restaurant in Trowbridge on St Stephen's Place, just next to Frankie and Benny’s.

The restaurant has created a host of jobs, and is still recruiting between 25 and 30 delivery drivers and kitchen staff in the town.

People got the chance to be welcomed inside for the first time over the Bank Holiday weekend (29/08) and get a feel for the newest pizza place in Wiltshire.

Company CEO, Christopher Sharman, said: "We're delighted to be bringing our authentic pizza offer to Trowbridge and can't wait to serve the community.

"We believe our exceptional pizzas and relaxed vibe with prove very popular indeed.

"The contemporary design of our restaurants is driven by our commitment to the environment. All our furniture is bespoke and crafted from recycled wood, we use smokeless reformed wood briquettes in our top spec Gonzey ovens and our delivery boxes are 100 per cent recycled."

After a successful launch in other parts of the county, Mr Sharman was keen to expand into other areas.

“We opened in December in Swindon and in Frome at the start of 2022 and it’s been going so well that we wanted to get set up in another town in Wiltshire," he said.

“The opening went really well over the weekend, and we often try not to announce the openings as they can get quite busy, but it was a really good atmosphere with lots of people showing up.

“We wanted to be a national independent company, and we originally started up north and now growing down south- we’re currently working on being more in the midlands as well.

“The idea was to provide food that everybody likes. It’s about making good honest food for good prices.”

The ever-growing company is also looking to get set up in Bath soon.

St. Stephens Place Centre Manager, Donna Stephens, said: "It's been great working with Christopher and his team to deliver this exciting restaurant and add to our already excellent food and beverage offer.

"Personally, I can't wait to try 'The Controversial One', ham and pineapple of course."
