RESIDENTS in Chippenham and the surrounding area are being urged to have their say at a series of online crime forums.
Chippenham MP Michelle Donelan, the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, is running four virtual crime forums.
They will take place in the coming weeks for people to ask questions and raise concerns about crime in our community with the MP, Philip Wilkinson, the Wiltshire and Swindon Police and Crime Commissioner, and the local Inspector for each area.
Miss Donelan said: “We know that policing rural areas can be challenging, and since 2015 I’ve been working hard to ensure that our police force have the resources they need to help keep us safe.
“Feedback from the community is a vital part of this, so these forums are a fantastic opportunity for you to let us know your experiences and where additional resources are needed.”
The first forum covering Chippenham and the surrounding villages will take place on Thursday, October 27 at 7pm. Further dates for Melksham, Corsham and Bradford-on-Avon and their surrounding villages will be announced in due course.
To attend the Chippenham forum, email michelle.donelan.mp@parliament.uk, to receive a Teams link to join the meeting.
